Amberg Named Chief Legal Officer | SitelogIQ

Recognized as a pragmatic thought leader with deep understanding of complex regulatory drivers, Deb Amberg has joined SitelogIQ as chief legal officer. In this role, Amberg will lead SitelogIQ’s legal and compliance functions, and as a member of the company’s senior leadership team, will participate in developing and advising SitelogIQ’s overall business strategies and their implementation.

“Deb already has had a profound impact on SitelogIQ’s success in a consultative capacity, so I’ve seen firsthand her ability to tackle business challenges and influence positive outcomes,” said Joe Puishys, Chairman of the Board. “As SitelogIQ continues to grow and navigate the unknowns and everchanging guidelines in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, Deb’s energetic leadership and extensive legal expertise will play a vital role.”

Amberg began her career with ALLETE as an attorney and was named general counsel, corporate secretary, and vice president of corporate legal services in 2004. She was promoted to senior vice president in 2006, and later gained responsibility for environment and land management and safety and industrial hygiene, as well as interim leadership of human resources. She was named chief strategy officer-regulated operations and president of Superior Water, Light & Power Company in 2016.

She is a graduate of the University of Minnesota Law School and earned a Bachelor of Arts in economics from the University of Minnesota. Active in the community, Amberg serves on the board of trustees for the College of St. Scholastica where she is chair of the audit, finance, and investment committee. She also is a member of the board of directors for Northshore Bank of Commerce and serves on the advisory committee for the Muriel Whiteside Charitable Trust.
