Local government leaders are under growing pressure to maintain aging infrastructure, manage rising energy rates, and protect essential services, all within increasingly constrained public budgets. Municipal leaders share how partnering with SitelogIQ has helped their communities turn these pressures into actionable facility plans. From evaluating opportunities and securing financing to coordinating permitting, inspections, site selection, and implementation, SitelogIQ guides local governments through every project phase. Through solar energy, LED lighting, and other facility improvements, the featured communities are reducing energy use and operating costs, strengthening fiscal sustainability, and redirecting savings toward public safety and other critical services. Collectively, these initiatives are projected to generate millions of dollars in long-term savings while supporting more resilient communities.

Rachel Hernandez, Mayor – City of Riverbank: My name is Rachel Hernandez. I am the mayor for the city of Riverbank. The city controls what it controls and often times in uncertainty with the state and federal governments, it’s up to us to take charge to save operationally and that’s exactly what SitelogIQ did. So, we’re so grateful for the immediate impact but also the long-term impact that that’s going to have.
Daniel Galvez, Public Works Director – City of Kingsburg: So, working with SitelogIQ has been great. I am by far not an expert in solar nor in the process to get the solar started or any of the financing.
Having SitelogIQ next to us and partner with us to be able to walk us through all the nuances of permitting, of inspections, of site location was really beneficial on our end.
Alex Henderson, City Manager – City of Kingsburg: Probably the main factor was continually rising energy rates. That’s a challenge I think a lot of people face — and so we were able to put in roughly, you know, a little under $4 million for us, but it’s going to save over $11 million term of the project.
Sean Stevens, Police Chief – City of Kingsburg: We purchased body cameras and in-car cameras for all the officers, and we’ve added some flock cameras throughout the city to help the protection and keeping our people safe.
Alma Beltran, Mayor – City of Parlier: The city of Parlier has had challenges being that it’s a rural community. So the solar, the LED lighting helps reduce costs. So, it helps with our budget and brings more revenue into the city. With this project, the city of Parlier is projected to save $4 million for the city’s budget, which will help fund other projects that we are proposing to bring resources to our community members.
Matthew Medill, Public Works Director – City of Lincoln: When the city first initiated this exploration of energy alternatives and energy conservation projects, I didn’t know exactly what we needed to do. I knew there was opportunities to be explored and SitelogIQ really helped us navigate to those best fit solutions that really serve this community.
Sean Scully, City Manager – City of Lincoln: Under this model, we not only get shade and opportunities for electric charging perhaps in the future, but we also offset a significant portion of our energy usage, which gives us the ability to use those resources in other ways that benefit the community.
Richard Pearl, Mayor – City of Lincoln: Fiscal sustainability is is the key word for most governments at this point — and so this is going to help us over the years. This project is costing about $10 million and over the next 30 years we’re expecting to save $26 million. And that’s as a business person that’s a return on the investment.
Sonja Brunner, City Council Member – City of Santa Cruz: What I would love to share with other cities considering a project like this is don’t wait. Reducing energy consumption and emissions at our city-owned facilities is something that the community really expects and we’re happy that this project really met all of those goals.
