Upper Merion Area School District is located in King of Prussia, PA, just outside Philadelphia. The region experienced an influx of families during the nineties, and the schools became overcrowded, adding stress on the District’s infrastructure. District administrators worked with an architect to identify the overcrowding issues and decided to completely rebuild two elementary schools—Caley and Gulph. In 2017, looking for a preconstruction and construction management partner, the District added SitelogIQ to the project team. Working with the Architect and District, the SitelogIQ preconstruction team helped manage costs, vendor bids, and schedules, setting up the on-site team for success in the field. The new buildings gave the District much-needed flexibility to begin offering full-day kindergarten and has positioned the District to manage the anticipated growth in student population over the next 10 years.
