City of Temecula

Project Background

The City of Temecula contracted with SitelogIQ, in multiple phases to replace using outdated HID, T12, and 32W T8 Fluorescent lamps throughout several locations. Both interior and exterior lighting were upgraded with low wattage T8 and LED fixtures at the Senior Center, Community Recreation Center, and several Fire Stations throughout the city.

Project Scope

  • Replaced 180W High Pressure sodium fixtures with new LED area lights with bi-level occupancy controls to meet new Title 24 standards.
  • Retrofitted existing Fluorescent fixtures in all areas to include low wattage T8 Lamps and low power factor ballasts.
  • Installed occupancy controls in areas with manual wall switches to ensure maximum savings during periods of inactivity.
  • Coordinated post inspection with the city and utility company to ensure installation specifications were met.

Project Challenges & Solutions

The City of Temecula was on a short timeline to get all new lamps installed to qualify for the SCE rebate program. SitelogIQ had to hire and train new crews to meet these deadlines, while keeping the workmanship quality to the standards required by the city.

Occupancy controls were installed in areas where existing fixtures did not have automated controls to ensure maximum energy savings.
