Pathogen Mitigation Solutions

Restore. Prepare. Rebuild.

The pandemic has shifted our mindset and heightened concerns for healthy and safe indoor environments, particularly as we triage challenges as they present themselves, as well as in an ongoing capacity.

We employ a multi-tiered approach to our pathogen mitigation solutions to address precautionary facility cleaning measures, including the use of cleaning technologies for suspected or confirmed contamination and for use in your building environment permanently. There is no “one size fits all” solution to mitigate the transfer of pathogens.

Short-term pathogen mitigation solutions:

Ultra-Low-Volume (ULV) Fogging
Cold fogging machines use large volumes of air at low pressures to transform liquid into droplets to disperse fog into the air to treat for contaminants. This treatment utilizes a 10-second dwell time to cover large areas and leaves little to no residue on any surfaces.

Electrostatic Fogging
Electrostatic technology is a one-step disinfectant process that charges, atomizes and delivers consistent wraparound coverage of solutions to all surfaces, killing 99.9% of bacteria in seconds. This technology sanitizes hard, nonporous surfaces, killing cold and flu viruses, MRSA and norovirus in a single step.

In-Space Portable Ultraviolet Germicidal Irradiation (UVGI)
This is a proven method of decontaminating your indoor air environment by killing or deactivating contagions at the source through the use of UV light, removes infectious microorganisms.

Long-term pathogen mitigation solutions:

Engineered Infection Protection of Airborne Contamination
Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) has a major impact on occupant health, comfort, productivity, and quality of life. Occupants take about 20 breathes every minute on average and each breath contains more than just life-sustaining oxygen.

Occupants also inhale particles, spores, dust, viruses, bacteria, and germs that get circulated through buildings and transferred from occupant to occupant through breathing. As a facility manager or owner, you can implement long-term pathogen mitigation solutions to provide a safe and healthy space for your building occupants. SitelogIQ is prepared to help you in implementing strategies for airborne contamination through Engineered Infection Protection (EIP) mitigation strategies.

While there is no “one size fits all” solution to mitigating the transfer of pathogens, our multi-tiered approach can address precautionary, suspected or confirmed contamination facility environments. Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) has been known to have a major impact on occupant health, comfort, productivity, and quality of life and can be a super-highway to transferring virus’ between individuals and adjacent spaces. Under the right conditions, viruses can aerosolize as they are expelled from infected individuals, and once they’re made airborne, can live for several hours and even be transferred through Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems. Filters alone will not stop them from being distributed to other spaces.

Our Airborne Contamination Solutions:

  • Humidification
  • Bi-polar Ionization
  • UVGI in Upper Air Zones
  • Filtration
  • UVGI in HVAC Units

Engineered Infection Protection of Surface Contamination
As we think about keeping our building occupants safe from pathogens, it’s critical to consider other potentially contaminated sources beyond what’s in the air. In buildings, there are naturally high traffic areas and high touch surfaces. With viruses like SARS, MERS and COVID-19, it is known that they can live up to 72 hours on stainless steel and plastic or, 96 hours on glass. Precautions can be taken in both the short- and long-term to mitigate exposure to viruses and bacteria. The best method to mitigate the spread of pathogens is simply to avoid the high touch surface exposure utilizing existing, proven touchless technology.

Engineered Infection Protection Through Thermal Screening

As facility owners strive to protect their employees and customers in the current COVID-19 environment, a valuable tool to assist in that process is now available. Every individual that enters your doors brings a risk of possible virus exposure. That’s where SitelogIQ’s thermal screening solutions can add layers of protection to your mitigation efforts.

With this new solution set that includes both high traffic venue screening and rapid, no contact individual screening options, we work with you to put thermal screening solutions in place to scan foot traffic and assess temperatures, allowing you to identify anyone who may unknowingly expose your operation to the virus as they access your facility.
