Education:Bachelor’s degree required with a concentration in accounting. MBA/MS in accounting or finance preferred. Current license as a Certified Public Accountant.

As an integral member of the Finance Organization reporting to the CFO, the Corporate Controller is responsible for leading all accounting and financial reporting activities for the Company. The ideal candidate will have served within organizations generating revenue in excess of $100 million per year in a multi-entity consolidating environment. Attractive candidates will have competency in professional accounting including both deep technical financial reporting expertise and significant Controllership experience over complex transactions. Candidates with excellent people and process management skills and the ability to drive and support change as the Company evolves will find success.

Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required with a concentration in accounting.
  • MBA/MS in accounting or finance preferred.
  • Current license as a Certified Public Accountant.
  • Minimum 10 years in a senior accounting or finance role in a multi-entity consolidation environment.
  • Prior experience with project accounting preferably in construction-type projects using percentage of completion accounting.
  • Ability to work closely with senior management team and work with team members that are decentralized across the U.S.
  • Ability to travel 10-20% of time.
  • Competency applying GAAP within complex organizations, including researching and implementing relevant accounting technical standards, and preparing technical accounting memos supporting all accounting positions.
  • Experience leading an effective and efficient closing process, including the implementation of best practices and the ability to leverage systems to automate processes and financial reporting.
  • Experience with prior ERP migration projects, in both M&A integration and operational consolidation situations.
  • Experience leading assessment, implementation, reimplementation, and modifications to ERPs.
  • Superior analytical skills.

  • Organized, yet flexible and adaptable to change.
  • Ability to work well in high pressure situations in order to meet deadlines.
  • High degree of proficiency with MS Excel.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Oversees all aspects of reporting and operational accounting for the Company and subsidiaries
  • Identifies, implements and oversees the execution of necessary financial processes, policies, procedures and controls to ensure compliance with US GAAP and all applicable tax laws.
  • Maintains the general ledger and all of the Company’s financial books and records.
  • Organizes and drives all closing and consolidation processes, including monthly account reconciliations, to track and safeguard company assets and to ensure that all financial statements and reporting are timely, accurate, and in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Serves as the primary interface with external audit firm in the Company’s annual financial audit.
  • Supports the administration and execution of payroll and calculation of commission and incentive compensation programs.
  • Recruits, trains and retains a high performing team that provides a professional accounting department able to assert a positive leadership role across the entire organization.
  • Works with the Executive Leadership Team and all levels of functional management in the spirit of cooperation and continuous improvement.
  • Partners with FP&A in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Monitors working capital requirements of the organization and compliance with loan covenants.
